Meet the “Doc” of Doc Diaries -
Dr. Preeti Sharma

I, Dr. Preeti Sharma, am a doctor by profession. However, I have always known that my soul is that of a storyteller.

I believe that stories have immense power – they help us understand, connect, empathise, and inspire. Telling our stories out loud brings emotional healing and a sense of catharsis

If someone who knows me well had to describe me in three words, they would say – Driven, Emotional, and Filmy! The story of my own life so far feels no less than the plot of a Bollywood movie – emotions, drama, twists, heartbreak, and moments of self-discovery. What was often missing in this movie though, was a strong supporting cast, someone to share my stories with, someone to ask, “Kya Hua?”, especially when I felt lost, unsure, and alone.

This is how the idea of “Doc Diaries” was born, more than 10 years ago. A dream, a whisper from within, a calling, to be a medium for people to share their stories. This show has been a decade in the making because life happened, as it does to the best of us. Through various jobs, paying bills, and motherhood, I kept telling myself, “Maybe someday.”

But I never gave up on the idea because I had faith in Mahadev. Oh yes, that’s another thing you must know about me – I am an ardent Shiv Bhakt. I truly believe that “Humari Zindagi Mein Koi Bhi Kaam Tabhi Hota Hai…Jab Mahadev Ki Marzi Hoti Hai”. So I was going about the everyday grind, when one day, a voice, that I believe to be Mahadev’s, said, ‘There’s no better time than now.'”

There was no going back from that moment – I realised that this talk show was not only my journey but of so many people who needed to share their stories, struggles, and triumphs – the only thing missing was a platform.

So with the blessings of Mahadev, my guiding light, I created Doc Diaries to be an empathetic ear, a no-judgement zone, and a source of hope for someone. Everyone is welcome here, and all stories are received with open arms. Here’s to many wonderful memories of people like you and me sharing our life stories and finding our voices.
